BPU Board to Review 2022 Proposed Budget

(KANSAS CITY, Kan.) — The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) Board of Directors will be reviewing the 2022 proposed budget during a workshop to be held on Thursday, December 2^nd.

The workshop will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the BPU Administration Building located at 540 Minnesota Avenue, KCK.

Thursday’s workshop will consist of budget reviews for the Electric Production; Accounting & Finance/Purchasing & Supply and Administrative Services Divisions; General Management; Corporate Compliance; Customer Service; Information Technology; Water; Electric Operations and Electric Supply Divisions.

The final budget will be presented to the Board for their approval during the December 15^th Board meeting.

BPU’s water department was originally created in 1909, and its electric utility was operational in 1912.
