Jeremy Ash serves as the General Manager of the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU), bringing over 24 years of dedicated service to the organization. With extensive experience in utility operations, Jeremy has led key initiatives to improve efficiency, enhance service reliability, and empower employees. As Chief Operating Officer, he managed both electric and water operations, overseeing over 400 employees and budgets exceeding $200 million. His leadership has delivered significant results, including saving $7 million annually for ratepayers through enhanced coal tracking systems and developing leadership programs to strengthen frontline management.
Beyond his work at BPU, Jeremy is an active leader in the utility industry. He serves as Chair of the American Public Power Association's RP3 Panel and is a board member of Kansas Municipal Utilities, Kansas Municipal Energy Agency, and Western Fuels Association. Jeremy also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Applied Organizational Leadership from MidAmerica Nazarene University and is completing a Master of Public Administration from Louisiana State University.
